Childhood's End
Today is the Jester's birthday. We could try and match the pomp and circumstance that was associated with T-Bone's birthday but there is a bit of a soiree schedule for this evening at the rugby club and he will likely be making himself more scarce than, well, Normy on his birthday. I'm not going to tell you exactly how old he is but I will tell you that's it's between an age that rhymes with test drive (if, and only if, you say it with an Eastern European accent - think Borat) and an age that rhymes with dirty. He is taking his climb up the hill very well although he appears to be adopting the sleep habits of a senior citizen. And continuing with this nutbar birthday frenzy big ups to Big Bad tomorrow's-my-birthday-Barry Calhoun for documenting another year in pictures. Also blowing candles and smoke this month are the best thing ever to come out of Burpee St. Ron Fontaine and the only good thing ever to come out of Michener Ct. - the Fish (I would love to have something to link to for Fish but North is apparently too strung out from his Rock n Roll tour to tell us about Fish's birthday in Taipei. Come on Clau, the world is waiting!)
So again I'm left to wonder why the unexplained glut of birthdays in October. I mean what is going on in New Brunswick in mid-January? Oh wait, that's right; nothing! It all makes sense.
Happy Birthday Boys!

Man si, your drivle sings me on to-wards, and i thank you....
b-days, b-days, lots now -- you guys are easily the most fu**** up mothers you Scorpios! Down with y'all! (I hate you)
Anyway goood to see that all is about usual in the hometown, nothing going on -- so good!!!
The Taipei foolishness was abound -- North is officially a transvestite! Not really, but really it was a gay affair....basically, a few cool dudes from NB got together and talked about the good ole place where we came from and how to get back....pretty much but not excluding Curnie's hurrendous (and terrible) anti-Canadian Tax tirade and North's public admission of being a mediocre guitarist but a fu***** kick ass bassist! His band really did shine on though, and that part of the night was fun.
We then went to the place the boys take me everytime in Taipei, "The Vibe". What a shithole -- spent most of the time at the bar, as I do every time there. But it was fun.
Back at the hotel, where 7 people had to do with 2 twin beds, me and North put back a good part of a bottle of wine -- finishing up on the roof top patio of the hotel. In Taiwan, this patio means a storage place for the cleaning workers. Using my toothbrush as an opener guaranteed each pour was clean and fresh. We squinted in the morning hot sun and went for bed....woke up at 2 and then everyone home...
