Sadly I didn't get to see my mother on Mother's Day. In fact, I didn't even get to speak with her as I got a busy signal when I tried to call her. Luckily, I was able to join my Godmother Nancy for a surf (lobster) and turf (roast beast) family dinner at their place. She treats me like a son so it was truly the next best thing. Thanks for having me Nance!

Hopefully I will get to speak with mom tomorrow. In the meantime I would like to dedicate this song from one of her favourite concerts:

I also can't go through a Mother's Day (or any day for that matter) without thinking of my dearly departed stepmother Diane. I miss her singing along to this in the kitchen;one of her favourites:
