Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals goes tonight...I have to say that I am quite interested in this series. Most people who grew up when I did have a natural like of the Oilers because they were the team that made us like hockey. The team is completely different but they are a great team to watch again. Plus, after being in Edmonton last month I have an idea how much fun the folks out there are having with this and you have to appreciate that too.
To top it all off (or to back it all up) they have one of the best voice mascots in sports. Paul Brown has a radio show in Edmonton and he has exclusive interview rights with Ryan Smyth's mullet. Check out what he has to say here.
As an interesting sidebar, the mullet sounds exactly like Terry from Fubar which is a crazy coincidence because him and Smytty could be brothers.
