Midnight Rider
The Gleaner reported today that the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival has secured the first major act of its 20th Festival in rock legend Gregg Allman. The festival didn't actually announce the act and are still tight-lipped about what the full lineup might look like. The Gleaner must have been tipped-off or they actually did some decent reporting, which would be a new concept for them, given the terribly biased reporting regarding the sale of NB Power. But I digress...this is great news. Gregg Allman is not quite the Allman Brothers Band, which is what fans were hoping for, but this is still a win. And from what I have heard from the folks at the festival is that there is more exciting news to come. The most exciting news, from my perspective, is that it looks like I will be able to attend this year and won't be in NFLD for rugby that weekend. Sweet!Pace out.
