Hands of Time

Seems to me, can't turn back the hands of time

Figuratively no, but literally, sure. In fact, they ask us to play with the hands of time every spring and fall. As much as I dread "falling back" I love "springing ahead". For me, the changing of the clocks is really the beginning and the end of winter. That's why I was ecstatic that they decided to change the dates of both. In fall they have decided to align it with the end of our rugby season, waiting until the first weeekend in November. And in March they pretty much just said "Up Yours Old Man Winter" and moved it up 3 weeks. Of course these things aren't just decided on a whim, but instead after careful deliberations by people much more important then you and I, and likely wearing Cosby sweaters. Not surprisingly the backstory of the major players in Socio-chronology have documented the backstory. You can check it out here. As for me, well, I'm going to enjoy the extra hour of sun and wallow in the shame knowing that the time change made me miss church for the 643 consecutive Sunday.

Some other time.
