Little Wing

Beer and wings tonight....so between the three of us we had about 36 wings. Now with the way they divide the wings there are 4 "wings" per chicken. So for our table alone 9 chickens perished. Consider the proliferation of wing nights and that math and let's say a prayer for the chickens. The equation boggles my mind almost as much as 3 x 4 = FUN. But considering the taste, they really both make sense....

Mama don't

Sunny Sunday here in NB. The kind of day that makes winter bearable. Of course it's only November and it already feels like winter which is not a good sign. Last night was actually the first good snowfall of the year. So much snow that I was snowed in upriver in Carleton County. I spent the night and woke up to a winter wonderland and a few inches of snow. I drove home along the river road and was amazed at how nice of a drive it was. Anyone from Carleton County will tell you that it's God's Country and I can't argue with them. They may also tell you a bad joke about local calls to God.

Today was also the day that Mom moved to Ottawa after 40 years living in Fredericton. And with that my childhood ends. It's tough to think that I now have to drive 11 hours if I need someone to hem my pants. I do vow to learn how to sew on a button though. All kidding aside mom is very exicted about it and swears she has a line on good Sens tickets, so it's win-win.
That's all for today....

Normy's quote of the day - "Pretzels and mustard; that's what I always associate with you"

It's been such a long time...

Hello Friends,
Welcome to my birthday present to myself! For some time now I have been having an internal argument between my hyper-active brain and my hyper-lazy fingers. I used to really enjoy putting my random thoughts down in an email and sending it to all of my friends just to remind them that I'm still crazy after all these years. Well this seems like the logical next step. I hope to be committed to keeping it fresh but we shall see...committment has been an issue in the past.
To be honest, the idea originally started as a house joke. I told Normy and Jess that I was going to start a blog purely to relay Normy's quirky genius to the world. That will certainly be a part of it...but life at the Embassy will be a constant topic in here. As will life in Freddy, as will life in NB, life in Canada, and life in general. Well hopefully anyways...time will tell.
I will tell you this starting out though; the biggest disapointment I've had to deal with in the last little while was the realization that I had bought a Revello when I thought I bought a Fudgesicle. Pretty shitty but in relative terms I must be doing ok.
Pace out....
